LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
The Fire District seeks qualified individuals for the position of Fire Chief. This is a full time paid position with salary commensurate with experience. The Fire District seeks qualified individuals who are interested in serving the community.
The LTFPD is a progressive fire department with 5 fire stations, 12 emergency response apparatus, and approximately 40 volunteer firefighters. The Fire District provides first responder level service and fire protection to the residents and visitors of the fire protection district. Our district covers approximately 35 square miles of west central Peoria County, Illinois.
In 2013 Limestone responded to 1,278 emergency incidents. The Board of Trustees of the LTFPD has elected to create the position of full time Fire Chief. This is a paid position and is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the Fire District. The Board of Trustees is accepting applications and interviews will continue until the position is filled. The Board will meet with qualified candidates starting the week of April 1st with a goal to have selected a Fire Chief to begin employment on or around June 1st or upon availability of the selected candidate.
