2014 Chief of the Year Recognition

This award, the most important honor the Illinois fire service can bestow upon its chief fire executives, was conceived to recognize truly outstanding fire chiefs whose acts and deeds in their profession, department/district, community and state, serve as an example and challenge for all other fire chiefs throughout Illinois.

The Illinois Fire Chiefs Association 2014 Fire Chief of the Year selection committee has chosen two recipients.  This year’s Category 1 – Full Time Paid or Combination Department/District (population that is more than 25,000) recipient is Chief  Michael Falese, Bartlett Fire Protection District, and one in Category 3 – Part Time Paid or Combination Department/ District recipient is Chief Brent Saunders, O’Fallon Fire Department.

Congratulations to both Chief Michael Falese and Chief Brent Saunders!
